Drama As Mukula Forces Delegates To Endorse Kadaga

There was drama in Soroti Hotel on Monday 10th/08/2020 when the Capt. Mike Mukula forced a section of delegates who were present to endorse the Speaker of Parliament for the NRM 2nd National Vice-Chairperson (Female) race.

 

 

Capt. Mike Mukula is the current Vice Chairman NRM Eastern region and is facing a stiff challenge from Sanjay Tanna, a forer Member of Parliament for Tororo Municipality.

 

Kadaga who was in town to inaugurate and commission Soroti City was left shamed when Mukula tried forcing delegates to endorse her candidature.

Kadaga is running for the NRM 2nd National Vice-Chairperson (Female) together with Persis Namuganza who is believed to have won the hearts of delegates countrywide.

 

Mukula who was in company of Charles Elasu, the Soroti district NRM chairperson asked delegates to endorse Kadaga’s candidature as the only way of rewarding her for fighting for Soroti city.

 

“With due respect, fellow countrymen and women we need to support Hon. Kadaga and here today let’s make total support to her,” Mukula said.

His efforts however yielded less fruits as most of the delegates didn’t respond to his plea apart from those who were standing next to him.

 

Among the notable included Charles Elasu and the controversial Teddy Acham.

 

Both Mukula and Kadaga are facing it tough to retain their seats as National Vice Chairperson Eastern Uganda and NRM 2nd National Vice-Chairperson (Female) respectively.

 

It must be understood that, while in the meeting at Widows Hall Soroti recently, delegates present asked Mukula to tell President Museveni to fulfill his pledge of providing motorcycles to NRM sub county chairpersons to help ease mobilization.
