The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party electoral commission in the Pallisa District has confirmed that there was massive vote rigging and bribery in just concluded NRM LCV Polls.
The situation has compelled the Pallisa district NRM Chairperson, George Omoding Oule to cancel the results of the 75 affected Polling stations.
Oule has consequently compelled the party members to go for reelection on Wednesday this week.
According to Oule, they have failed to declare the winner of NRM Pallisa LCV seat three days after the elections because of evident massive vote rigging especially at Olok and Kasodo sub counties.
He reveals that, about 158,000 votes were registered during the election process doubling the official total number of registered voters in Pallisa that is 73,146.
A total of five aspirants contested for LCV flagbearer Pallisa and they include: Patrick Duchu, Joseph Okoboi Opolot, David Kedi Apua, John Michael Okurut the incumbent and Louis Opange.
