The Mbale Woman District Member of Parliament has vowed to contest for the same seat irrespective of what the Tanga Odoi’s NRM Electoral Commission decides.

Hon. Connie Galiwango, the incumbent MP on the NRM ticket broke her silence on Saturday assuring the Mbale voters that she will be on the ballot paper come 2021.

“I want to assure my voters in Mbale City that whether am declared the NRM flag bearer or not, I will be on the ballot paper come 2021,” she said on Open Gate radio.

She accused the NRM Electoral Commission of delaying to declare the results.

She warned that if the powers that be go ahead and declared her opponent the NRM flag bearer, the race will then be decided by the Mbale voters who know whom they want against the one who claims she has been sent.

“We want to see that one who claims that she has been sent, sent by who?” A visibly furious Galiwango told the media.

The results for the Mbale City NRM Woman MP primary results have not been declared to date.

Galiwango is tussling it out with Lydia Wanyoto, a CEC member representing the NRM Women League.
