However, while speaking to this reporter last weekend, Oucor blamed the Electoral Commission for not providing him with a revised campaign schedule.

After being grilled by Security and Electoral Commission officials at Serere Central Police Station, Oucor said he wasn’t served with the harmonized copy of the campaign schedule for Serere County.

“I now believe after this meeting we are going to work together as aspirants,” said Oucor during the interview.

Asked whether he had intended to violate the Electoral Commission guidelines, Oucor said what happened was because he didn’t have the revised roadmap.

Oucor has also said, the spirit of togetherness has now prevailed and they have agreed as a team to work closely for the good of Serere voters.

“Am now going to adhere to all the set guidelines. I only appeal to my voters to be calm,” he added.

It must be understood that Oucor on the 1st December defied the Electoral Commission campaign schedule when he went and campaigned in Kateta sub county yet he was meant to campaign in Olio.

On that fateful day, Oucor caused commotion between his supporters and police that left two people nursing injuries at Serere Health Centre IV.

The Electoral Commission registrar Serere Sylvia Nangendo Cheptegei cautioned Oucor against further violating the electoral guidelines.

She also rubbished, Oucor’s allegations of not being served with the revised Electoral Commission campaign schedule saying all candidates were served with the program.

Martin Ongurucho, one of the MP, also an aspirant for Serere county challenged his opponents to respect the campaign schedule set by the Electoral Commission.

He said he was not going to resume with his campaigns if the Electoral Commission had not sat them down as politicians.
