Covid-19 has yet again claimed a life of an eminent person.
The Namutumba District LCV Chairman succumbed to the deadly virus on Monday night at Mulago National Referral Hospital where he was rushed to on Sunday.
Saleh Kumbuga was rushed to Mulago Hospital after his deteriorated. Reports from Mulago indicate that Kumbuga died of Covid-19 related complications.
Family members have however dismissed the Covid-19 claims saying the deceased had been battling diabetes and hypertension.
“Our family Doctor had actually stopped him from campaigns. His health was not good,” a family member who didn’t want to be named told this website.
Kumbuga was contesting for the position of MP for the Elderly. A darling in Namutumba, Kumbuga’s death has left the entire district grieving.
He was a born of Bukaaba Ward, Northern Division in Namutumba Town Council. At 65 years, Kumbuga has left behind 3 widows and 15 children.
