The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Regional Vice Chairman, Eastern has advised the people of Buyende to elect good leaders who can bring them good things from President Museveni.
Flight Capt. Mike Mukula who was in Buyende yesterday to campaign for Engineer Moses Magogo, NRM Flag bearer for Budiope East, likened Museveni to good malwa in a big pot. (Malwa is a popular local Teso brew known as ajon).
‘Museveni is like a malwa pot, he is the one who adds hot water in the pot. Your work is to bring a good tube to siphon malwa from the pot. If you put a bad tube (MP) in the pot then you will not drink the malwa well,” Mukula said.
Mukula was touring parts of Buyende District where he held two meetings in Kigulu and Bugaya. In his message, Mukula rallied the people of Budiope East to vote for Moses Magogo and President Museveni.
He tipped the Budiope voters that if they send Magogo to Parliament, his chances of being appointed Minister are high.
Among the people who welcomed Mukula to Budiope East constituency was Anita Among, Bukedea Woman MP. The people of Buyende lauded Anita for being supportive of Engineer Magogo thus transforming the district.
Mukula asked the people of Budiope to vote Museveni for equitable distribution of the national cake and therefore asked them to send Magogo to Parliament to bring services nearer to them..
He further warned against voting bad and inexperienced leaders saying Museveni is still indomitable having fought 14 major rebel groups who attempted to destabilize Uganda and still defeated all of them.
