The chairperson Mbale elders’ fellowship as well as a Senior Pastor at word of Faith Church located in Namakwekwe in Mbale City has asked Christians to maintain spiritual discipline in the fight against the Deadly Corona virus as they celebrate this Christmas season.

Bishop Andrew Mutengu made the appeal on Sunday in an exclusive interview with eastnews.co.ug.

The man of God appealed to the general public to stay safe by observing the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the ministry of health, saying covid 19 is real and still exists.

According to Mutengu, the year has not been easy however, God’s grace and mercy, enabled Christians to achieve, touch and lay hands upon it. He says this year’s Christmas is going to be different since the world has never experienced the COVID-19 Pandemic before.

He added that this Christmas is going to be more of reflecting upon the goodness of the Lord and more time with the family than going out to associate after prayers and meals as has been the norm in the previous years.
