The Chairperson Mbale Elder’s Fellowship and Senior Pastor at Word of Faith Church located in Namakwekwe, Industrial Division in Mbale City, has asked Ugandans to desist from violence as we focus on this year’s polls.

Speaking to our reporter in an exclusive interview as part of the New Year message, Bishop Andrew Mutengu says it is very sad that politicians have made many to hate each other to the extent of comfortably shedding blood.

Mutengu asks Ugandans to seek for peace which in turn shall give peace to the nation.

He laments that Uganda is a God fearing country with a motto ‘For God and My Country’. He appealed to Ugandans to love God and each other irrespective of their different affiliations saying we all from one origin; God.

Mutengu encouraged Ugandans to go and vote for the candidates of their choice. He however, appealed to them to keep law and order before wishing the nation a peaceful new year 2021.
