SAD! Bugwere King Succumbs To Covid 19, To Be Buried After Two Weeks

The Bugwere Cultural Leader has succumbed to the deadly Covid-19 virus.

 

The Ikumbania of the Bagwere, Bishop John Christom Wayabile died early hours of Saturday morning at a Kampala hospital.

 

A family source said that the Ikumbania had been battling the disease in an isolation center in Entebbe for the past week.

 

He becomes the 2nd cultural leader to succumb to the disease in a month. The other was Kingo of Sebei on 19th of January.

 

According to a family source, the Imkubania’s health deteriorated at the Entebbe Isolation Center where they were advised to seek for Intensive Unit Care services since he had developed breathing difficulties.

 

However, even after reaching a Kampala facility where Covid-19 patients requiring ICU services are handled, it took a while for the deceased to be handled.

 

Bishop Wayabire was also the head of the Revival and Salvation Apostolic Ministries in East and Central Africa.

 

He has left behind a widow, Itulula Bwa Bagwere, Harriet Sarah Wayabire.

 

Bishop Weyabire, was on July 4, 2015, elected unopposed and crowned as the rightful king of Obwa Ikumbania Bwa Bagwere after the institution was gazzetted by government on May 6, 2014.
