NGORA
The outgoing Ngora District Woman MP (NRM) who lost in the recent presidential and parliamentary elections has congratulated her opponent and proved it by kissing and hugging.
Hon. Jackline Amongin on Saturday 27th February 2021 shocked mourners during the burial of the Late Isaac Otai in Tididiek, Ngora when she congratulated FDC’s Apolot Stella Isodo and also went ahead to kiss her.
Amongin also told mourners that she is not ready to go to court to challenge Isodo’s victory.
“I am also not taking away anything i gave to my voters including the four ambulances that I gave to each of the old sub counties of Kobuin, Ngora, Kapir and Mukura,” Amongin said to a rapturous applause.
After her loss to Isodo, rumour went around that she was withdrawing the Ambulances to Agu Health Center 111 to only serve the people of her village and Odwarat Sub County.
She encouraged Apolot, the Ngora Woman MP elect to work hard and deliver services to the local people.
She also promised to come back to politics for the same post in 2026 full swing.
Apolot in return gave Amongin a warm welcome and thanked locals for voting in her favour.
Isodo also appreciated Amongin for accepting defeat and staying calm without going to court like how majority of Candidates who lost have resorted to.
“Am ready to serve you, my people of Ngora district without segregation, thank you, very much for voting me.” Apolot said.
She encouraged people to avoid politicking all the time, and start doing some developmental projects and love one another, saying we all need each other.
