Judge Stephen Mubiru of the High Court Kampala has issued an interim order dividing the contested home between Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Naggayi and her estranged husband, Isaac Ssempala.
Justice Mubiru who made the ruling this morning 23rd April 2021 at the compound of the Buziga home ordered that Nabillah continues living on the bigger section of the home while the husband lives on the other section which is a little smaller.
The couple has also been directed to divide the Parking yard between the two although they will have to continue sharing the stairs as they walk up to the different apartments.
Judge Mubiru has also ordered Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba never to set foot again in the Buziga house and to stop interfering in its ownership.
Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba claims he gave Nabillah a friendly loan of Shs850M which Nabillah has failed to pay. He together with Nabillah have agreed that the house be taken to recover the loan. This is an assumption Ssempala disagrees with claiming his wife has a sinister motive of stealing his property.
The ruling will stay in place until 18th May 2021 when court will rule on who actually owns the house.
Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba was seen driving out of the Buziga house in obvious anger as he refused to respond to any questions from the Media.
The details of the ruling were given by Isaac Ssempala’s lawyer, Ronald Kayizzi.
Present at the Buziga house today were Nabillah, Baryamureeba and their lawyers and then Ssempala with his lawyer.
