Parliament of Uganda Releases Official Portraits for Speaker, Deputy Speaker

The Parliament of Uganda has released official portraits for the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah and his Deputy, Hon. Anita Among.

The pair was successfully elected on 24^th May 2021, in the 11^th Parliament first sitting at Kololo Independence Grounds.

Jacob Oulanyah, the Omoro County MP beat his former boss, Ms Rebecca Kadaga after garnering 310 votes against Kadaga’s 197.

Meanwhile, Anita Among swept to victory with a landslide garnering 410 votes to clinch the Deputy slot. In a tweet yesterday 1st June, 2021, Hon. Anita Among said; “Dear friends Kindly receive my official portrait!”
