The campaign that kicked off yesterday 4th November 2021 and ending today has been a success according to the health officials.

Speaking to this reporter, Mary Nandunga, the Health Inspector Industrial City Division thanked the public for turning up in big numbers saying it shows that the public has rejected social media allegations that the vaccine is dangerous.

However, she said that in case anyone develops adverse side effects after receiving the jab, such a person should report to the nearest Health facility.

The team also vaccinated whoever turned up whether they came with the National ID or not.

The Resident Director, TAN Group of Companies Mbale, a company that is the sole distributor of Nile Breweries, Mr. Bharat said he was grateful to Nile Breweries for organizing the exercise at TAN premises. He also encouraged all staff members of TAN Group of Companies and community members at large to get vaccinated in order to have the economy re-opened fully.

Robert  Omongole, the Human Resource Manager, TAN Group of Companies Mbale said he has been hearing speculations on the social media about the drug being magnetic but he tested it himself and found out the speculations are false.

“The vaccine is good, I only feel a bit of fatigue, so I urge all staff from TAN and everyone to go for vaccination because soon the vaccination card may act as a national ID, where without it you may not access any office or services easily,” Mr. Omongole said.
