FULL LIST: Museveni Appoints Gen. Angina Deputy Ambassador, Drops Mulongo

Simon Mulongo has been dropped

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Lt. Gen. Charles Angina Deputy Ambassador to Cairo.

 

Angina joins a horde of other high ranking military officers that the President appointed Ambassadors.

 

These include; Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza (Burundi), Col. (Rtd) Fred Mwesigye (Dar-es-Salaam), Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Robert Rusoke (Kigali), Brig. Ronnie Balya (Juba), Col. (Rtd) Julius Kihaanda (Luanda) and Maj. Gen (Rtd) Mugisha Nathan(Mogadishu)

 

Below is the President’s statement released on his tweeter handle;

 

“By virtue of the powers vested in the President of the Republic of Uganda, by Article 122(1), I hereby appoint the following as Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Deputy Ambassadors to the respective brotherly and friendly countries as listed here below:”
