WAR PROPAGANDA: Russia Directs Ugandans Where to Get Unbiased News on Ukraine Crisis

By Our Reporter

The Russian Embassy in Uganda has advised Ugandans interested in getting unbiased news on Ukraine crisis to tune in to UBC, a government owned Television station.

In a 2nd March, 2022 tweet seen by this reporter, the Russian Embassy informs that the Ugandan TV channel @ubctvuganda broadcasts Russia’s state-run TV channel – Russia Today daily from 10 am till 11 am & from 11 pm till 3 am.

“Stay tuned if you are interested in receiving an unbiased information on world events.” The tweet concludes.

The Russian Embassy is obviously responding to a ‘takeover’ of the Media by Western propagandists led by BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera and others that are covering Ukraine crisis.

Meanwhile, MultiChoice, South Africa confirmed yesterday, 2 March 2022, Russia Today (Channel 407) shall not be carried on the DStv platform until further notice. Sanctions imposed on Russia by the E.U has led to the global distributor ceasing to provide the broadcast feed to all suppliers.
