Seven people who were going to mourn at Bududa district have been rushed to Bududa hospital in critical condition after being involved in a serious road accident this morning.
The accident happened this morning at Bumwalukani sub county along Kiholo Saku road after the Isuzu truck number UAM 960H loading over twenty mourners lost control and overturned three times.
People who got serious injuries are Suzan Masemo from Busiu town council in Mbale, Beatrice Namalishe from Masanda in Mbale city, Edith Seera from Sikuku among others.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson confirmed the accident saying that the cause of the accident was poor mechanical condition of the vehicle.
He adds that police are currently hunting for the driver Bilal, Mia Nsumizi who escaped after the accident. The vehicle is parked at Bududa CPS.
