Police in Kibuku district have started investigating circumstances under which three minors who went swimming drowned in River Kisenyi in Kibuku district and died.
According to Immaculate Alaso the Bukedi North police spokesperson, the three minors between the ages of 13 to 15 were all from Lwatama village, Lwatama Sub County in Kibuku district.
Alaso says the minors went swimming in the flooded River Kisenye yesterday, 5th April 2022 where they met their unfortunate deaths.
She says that the bodies of the three minors were retrieved from the River and bodies handed over to their parents for burial. She warned parents against leaving their children to go swimming during this rainy season.
