JUST IN: Rwanda Air Plane Veers Off Main Runway at Entebbe Airport

Rwanda Air CRJ 9 aircraft, flight number 464 has veered off the runway on landing at Entebbe International Airport due to bad weather.

 

The incident happened at Entebbe International Airport this morning, 20th April 2022 at 5:31 am.

 

This was revealed by the Civil Aviation Authority on its official tweeter handle.

 

“All the passengers were disembarked safely and the situation is under control. The second (alternate) runway 12/30 is operational for small and light aircraft.” The statement reads in part.

 

The Authority also reveals that the Main Runway is still blocked.

 

“All efforts are underway to remove the aircraft from the runway strip so that the main runway can return to full use.” The statement reads.
