HARD TIMES! Bukedea Local Council Official Arrested over Cattle Theft

Bukedea: 

Police in Bukedea central police station in Bukedea district on Sunday morning 17th, July 2022 arrested the local council one defence secretary of Tank cell in Bukedea town council in Bukedea district for allegedly stealing a bull.

Peter Omadi Otiono commonly known as Asikari was arrested for alleged theft of a bull belonging to David Omoding.

Arrests led to the detention of other six suspects identified as James Arebon, Simon Masse, Samurai Pius, Opio and Odong, both meat dealers among others.

Vicent Aaje, the real bull owner who sold it to Omoding managed to identify the bull’s remains after it was slaughtered by the accused.

Oscar Gregory Ageca, the East Kyoga police spokesperson confirmed that so far seven have been rounded up and detained in Bukedea central police station.

However, preliminary information ascertained that most of the meat sold in Bukedea is from stolen cattle.
