A 38 year old man is currently in hiding after locals stopped him from burying his 3 year old son alive.
Simon Manage, a resident of Mayiyi village Bukusege parish Busamaga Sub County in Sironko district attempted to bury the child alive yesterday claiming he is not his son.
Now local leaders in the Sironko district have launched for him.
According to Tom Gidandi, the LCI chairperson of Mayiyi village, Manage had misunderstandings last night with his wife identified only as Irene after claiming that he child is not of his.
He adds that as local leaders, they intervened in the matter and counseled both sides thinking that they had reconciled.
Gidandi explains further that Manage dug a grave and forced his son to enter there but was saved by locals after the wife made an alarm.
Moses Maduli, the LCIII chairperson of Busamaga Sub County also says that Manage did that under influence of waragi.
He adds that Manage is fond over drinking after starting fights with the wife but says that Manage is currently because they are looking for him to be handed over to police to answer charges of attempted murder.
