Teso’s legendary song writer and singer, Paul Ikwap popularly known as Mark P has criticized the Iteso Cultural Union elected leader, Paul Sande Emolot for involving himself in active partisan politics which is against the rules of ICU.

The aselero hit mark who is currently overseas made this remark yesterday Sunday 14th August,2022 on his Facebook wall.

The criticism from Mark P comes in the heels of the recently concluded Gogonyo county Parliamentary by-elections in Pallisa district where one of the contestants, Okoboi Joseph Opolot of NUP allegedly willingly withdrew from the race after he had a one on one meeting with the Emorimor.

According to Mark P, Emolot wasn’t on the right track to do such a thing arguing that it will make people unhappy.

“Welcome to the table Of men, I very recently saw a picture of our current ’Emorimor’ involved in Pallisa politics ,is he aware that being Emorimor means he is the face of Teso? No2 is mzee Emolot aware that he shouldn’t be partisan?, his ascension to that seat has/is being challenged and he doesn’t mind adding more salt to the wound, allow me laugh at whoever is accepting this nonsense, straight outta Usuk, my message to him is to stay away from politics if he truly wants to unite Teso, nuka da ngun ( ateso words meaning those are mine)”, Mark P said angrily in his post.
