A district Councilor representing Buwagogo Sub County was this morning discovered dead and body lying in River Manafwa, 1 ½ kilometers away from his home.
According to Isaac Matanda, the Speaker of Manafwa district local government, Nicholas Mukweli’s body was discovered today 21st September, 2022 by area residents in River Manafwa.
Police of Elgon region have launched investigation in what looks like a murder since the River had not flooded and could therefore not sweep off a person.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson has said that as police they have not so far arrested any person as investigation continues.
