Makerere University Postpones Semester 1 2022/23 Reporting Dates for All Students

Makerere University, Kampala has postponed the dates of beginning of Semester One for both continuing students and Freshers (First year students).

The new dates were communicated on 28^th September, 2022 by the Academic Registrar.

In a letter addressed to Principals of Colleges, Deans of Schools and students, the date for beginning of Semester 1 for continuing students is Saturday 8^th October and will be lectures on Monday, 10^th October.

Meanwhile Freshers are expected to report on Saturday 15^th October 2022 and begin lectures on 17^th October. The communication also indicates that the orientation of Freshers will be carried out concurrently with lectures.

The Academic Registrar attributes the change in dates to delays in the 2022/23 admissions and the Makerere 100 years Anniversary celebrations scheduled for 6^th October, 2022.

Initially, the program indicated that Semester 1 2022/23 was to start on 1^st October 2022.
