Police in Bukedea Central Police Station in Bukedea district are investigating circumstances under which the Bukedea town council LCIII chairperson allegedly assaulted Kide Ward area Councilor over allegations of building an illegal structure in Bukedea daily market.
Sam Engole has been accused by Umar Abanoor who claims Engole assaulted him while he was supervising his construction work.
Patrick Charles Okoto, the District Police Commander Bukedea confirms this saying the police general inquiry file was opened yesterday 23rd, Nov 2022 and investigations are ongoing.
However, Sam Engole, the accused Bukedea town council LCIII chairperson denies the accusations saying Abanoor was building in the plot without council’s knowledge.
