BULAMBULI

Bulambuli District National Resistance Movement (NRM) party leaders have refused to back Gen. Muhoozi for the 2026 Presidential elections.

The Bulambuli leaders made the resolution today, 21st December, 2022 in a meeting held at Rest Ville Hotel located at Bulambuli Town Council in Bulambuli district.

The meeting was convened by Irene Muloni, the former Minister of Energy and Mineral Development also Woman MP for Bulambuli district where she was meeting her Sub County.

Paul Kimamati, the Bulambuli NRM District Chairperson said as district leaders they are not ready to back Muhoozi in the coming presidential election because they still need President Museveni to continue being their flag bearer.

He argued that Muhoozi is still young and has no experience to take this country ahead so he should wait for his father to die before picking interest in aspiring for presidency.

Denis Namisi, the Bulambuli NRM youth chairperson urged his fellow youths in the district to desist from following Muhoozi saying this will break the party into two which will give opposition chance to go through.

Meanwhile, Muloni called for calm among NRM leaders saying they should wait for the official party pronouncement.

She promised to donate over 1000 Kuroiler birds to her coordinators across the district before the end of this year such that they can do poultry farming to boost their household income.
