Second Stolen Bunghoko Police Post Gun Recovered, 4 Youths Arrested

A second gun that was last year stolen from Bunghoko police post has been recovered.

 

The AK 47 was discovered by police yesterday, 7th February, 2023 dumped in a bush in Bulucheke, four kilometers to Bududa Town, Bududa district.

 

While addressing the Media at his office on Tuesday located at regional block in Mbale city, Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson said locals saw the gun dumped in a bush and then reported to police that visited the scene and picked the gun.

 

Taitika also revealed the identities of the suspects that includes a 15 year old boy as Ivan Wepukhula 21, Emma Wapoko 21, Hassan Makombo 15, and Ivan Wekoye Ivan 30.

 

He said the suspects had already informed police that the second gun was somewhere in Bududa but did not know where exactly it had been hidden.

 

Last month police discovered the first stolen gun at Nabumali town council with Ivan Wekoye whom residents reported to police after seeing him moving with a gun at night.

 

Police is now hunting for the stolen Radio call.
