President Yoweri Museveni who is also the NRM Party National Chairman has just jetted to Serere district to campaign for the Party’s candidate in Serere County by-elections.
Museveni made his movement public in a tweet just minutes ago today saying, “I have left for Teso to rally support for the NRM candidate, Phillip Oucor in the Serere county by-election.”
On Monday, 20th February, 2023, National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi and Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) leader, Mugisha Muntu camped in Serere County to campaign for ANT’s Alice Alaso.
The by-election which is scheduled for 24th February, 2023 has attracted 5 candidates notably, Emmanuel Okabe (Son to former MP, Bishop Patrick Okabe), Mr Martin Onguruco, NRM leaning independent candidate, Phillip Oucor (NRM), Alice Alaso (ANT) and FDC’s Emmanuel Eratu.
The by-elections are scheduled for Thursday, 23rd February, 2023.
