MBALE CITY: Two Arrested For Attempting to Poison North Road P/S Pupil

Police in Mbale city have arrested two people for attempting to poison a primary three pupil of North Road Primary School.


They are identified as Tony Magudi aged 20 years and another only known as Abdu aged 22 years of age.


According to Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson, the two were arrested yesterday 5th April,2023 by school administrators and handed over to police.


He adds that the two were hired by the pupil’s step mother to bring suspected poisonous food to the pupil at school for lunch.


Police told our reporter that the pupil saw Abdu pouring something in the food raising his suspicions. He later informed the class teacher who arrested the duo and forced them to taste the food. When they declined, the school authorities called in the police.


Taitika says that the two are currently being detained at Mbale Central Police Station as food samples have been taken for further analysis.


It was reported that the father and mother of the minor died three years back and he has been staying with that very step mother.
