Museveni Convenes NRM Parliamentary Caucus Meeting Over Anti-Homo Bill

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Chairman National Resistance Movemnet (NRM) Party has convened the Party’s Parliamentary Caucus to discuss among other things the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023.

In a letter dated 18^th April, 2023 and addressed to NRM MPs, the Party’s Chief Whip, Hon. Denis Obua, the meeting shall take place at State House Entebbe on the 20^th April, 2023 at 2:00PM.

The MPs are required to take Covid-19 tests beginning today, 18^th April and tomorrow at the Parliamentary Conference Hall.

Parliament passed the Anti-homosexuality Bill 2023 on March 21 with 389 lawmakers present in-person and about 55 MPs following proceedings on Zoom technology.

The Bill now awaits President Museveni’s signature before it becomes law.
