JUST IN: DPP Sanctions Nandutu Prosecution, Minister Heading for Luzira Today

The Director of Public Prosecutions has sanctioned prosecution of Minister of State for Karamoja Affairs, Agnes Nandutu.

 

Consequently, the Minister who spent the night at Kiira Road Police Cells has this morning, 19th April, 2023 been presented to the Anti-Corruption Court where she will be charged and most possibly be remanded to Luzira Prisons.

 

Nandutu who arrived at the Anti – corruption Court about an hour ago however, looked jovial and was smiling and waving to bystanders.

 

She becomes the 3rd Minister to be charged for the diversion of the Karamoja iron sheets procured to settle reformed warriors known as karacunas.

 

She will be joining, the Minister of State for Planning, Amos Lugoloobi who will be reappearing in court tomorrow, 20th April, 2023 for hearing of his bail application.

 

Nandutu handed herself over to police yesterday, where additional statements were taken from her and later detained as her file was sent to the DPP for sanctioning.
