Namisindwa Police have released three medical officers arrested on Wednesday over neglect of duties.
The medical officers identified as James Mukhwana the in charge, Madina Hakasa nurse and Betty Namakhura midwife of Magale health center III got police bond yesterday, 20th April after spending a night in the cells.
On Wednesday this week police arrested Gorge Kusuti cleaner of Magale Han Health Center III located at Magale Sub County in Namisindwa district after he was caught red handed with two doses of Coartem and getting more government labelled boxes of drugs at his private drug shop neighbouring the facility.
They also arrested those four staff over neglecting their duties which gave the cleaner chance to steal drugs.
According to Rogers Taitika the Elgon region police spokesperson, the two did make a statement and were released on police bond but the suspect is still inside.
He says they want the three to go back and work at the health center since the health center has remained with no staff yet people want services.
