Kumi District Local Government Health Workers have given the district authorities up to 30th April, 2023 to clear their salary arrears.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Administrative Officer Kumi District dated 27th April, 2023, the health workers warn that if their salary arrears are not cleared by close of business this month, they are laying down their tools effective 1st May, 2023.
The health workers allege that they have not been paid their salaries since February 2023.
They also accuse the district authorities of not accesssing the newly recruited health workers into the payroll for ten months.
The letter carrying the stamp of Atutur Hospital warns that unless the above grievances are settled, they are not willing to enter the Wards.
Efforts to get a comment from the CAO were fruitless by the time of publishing this story.
