JUST IN: UNEB Provides Software for UCE Registration of 2018 PLE Candidates

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has provided for a software upgrade to enable Heads of UCE Centers to register 2018 PLE candidates.

 

This was revealed in a press statement released today, 18th May, 2023 by the Principal Public Relations Officer (PPRO), UNEB, Jennifer Kalule.

 

“The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) informs all Heads of UCE Centers who have challenges registering 2018 PLE candidates that the Board has provided for a software upgrade to accommodate all these candidates,” Kalule says in today’s press statement.

 

She has advised all Heads of UCE Centers to collect a copy of the upgraded software from UNEB Ntinda Annex Offices.

 

UNEB also asks Parents to confirm with the schools if their children have been dully registered.

 

“Remember May 31 is the deadline for normal registration. Let’s ensure that ALL eligible learners currently in candidate classes are registered in time,” Kalule says.

 

According to the UNEB fees structure for this academic year, PLE Candidates will pay Shs34,000, UCE Shs164,000 and UACE Shs186,000 for all private candidates during the normal registration period running from 1st May – 31st May, 2023.

 

Late registration between June 1st – 30th June will attract 100% surcharge for PLE, 50% surcharge for UCE and UACE. Therefore PLE Candidates will pay 68,000 up from 34,000. UCE 248,000 from 164,000 and UACE Shs279,000 up from Shs186,000.

 

Meanwhile the latest registration that will run from July 1st – July 31st will attract 100% surcharge for all levels implying that UCE candidates will pay 328,000 and UACE candidates pay 372,000.
