Police in Budaka district have started investigating circumstances under which an Epilepsy patient was discovered dead in water.
The deceased is known as Lucy Twanza Naita aged 27 years of ageband a resident of Nangeye cell, Nangeya ward, Naboa town council in Budaka district.
According to Immaculate Alaso, the North Bukedi police spokesperson, the deceased went to fetch water today, 19th May, 2023 morning at a well, a local water source where she collapsed from and drowned.
She says that they suspect Twanza was attacked by Epilepsy which made her collapse in water because she has been having the disease.
Grace Bulage, one of the eye witnesses says that they got the body floating on water with a jerry can she had gone with to fetch water that is when they alerted police.
