A total of four people have been confirmed dead after a motor vehicle Reg No UBH 695V Toyota taxi got involved in a nasty accident that happened last Evening, 25th May, 2023 next to Bukedea police checkpoint along Mbale- Soroti highway.
This occurred on 25/05/2023 at 16:10PM at corner cell , Bukedea Ward B Bukedea town council in Bukedea district along Mbale-Soroti High Way.
According to eyewitness, the driver of the taxi was over speeding.
Oscar Gerigory Ageca, the East Kyoga Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the cause of the accident was over speeding.
He said one of tyres of the vehicle burst making it to overturn.
Ageca also added that among the deceased are three adults and one juvenile whose identities are yet to be revealed.
