The Mbale District Local Council 5 Vice Chairman has been sacked by his boss, the LCV Chairman.

Tonny Wamagale got the marching orders from Muhammed Mafabi on Monday, 5th June, 2023.

According to a letter which was seen by our reporter dated 5/06/2022, Mafabi wrote to CAO copied in to the RDC, district Speaker, clerk to council and internal auditor informing them that Wamagale is no longer Mbale District vice chairperson.

“This is to inform you that you have been relieved of your as a district Vice chairperson and Secretary of Finance, Planning and Administration in Mbale District Council with immediate effect,” reads Mafabi’s letter.

While speaking to our reporter in a phone interview yesterday, Tuesday, Mafabi confirmed the sacking saying its normal and that the constitution empowers him with rights of making changes in his cabinet at any time he feels like.

He said so far he has not yet appointed another person to replace Wamagale adding that more reshuffles are on the way urging his cabinet members to work hard such that they can’t be victims.

Our efforts to a comment from the sacked Wamagale didn’t yield any fruits as he declined to give a comment.
