The Judiciary has just issued a statement regarding media reports that the Chief Justice, Owiny Dollo is critically ill and is out of the country for specialized treatment.
The statement dated 22nd June 2023 says that whereas it is true the Chief Justice is out of the country receiving some medical treatment, he is not ‘critically ill or ill at all.’
“We therefore wish to dispel the unfounded and exaggerated reports about his health,” the statement reads in part adding that the Chief Justice will soon return and continue serving the people of Uganda.
In his eulogy of the fallen Justice Arach Amoko yesterday, Owiny Dollo said he was indeed unwell and receiving treatment abroad. Sources now say he is in Germany accompanied by his third wife, a one Nakachwa.
