MBALE CITY
A Senior Two student of Nakaloke Secondary School has been raped, murdered and her body dumped at nearby water fish pond by suspected goons.
The deceased is Sazita Salima, 20 year old resident of Nakaloke II Cell, Najjah Ward, Northern City Division in Mbale City.
The incident took place last night, 12th July, 2023 at Nandala A cell, Rock Ward, Nakaloke Northern City Division in Mbale city but the body was discovered this morning 13th July 2023.
According to Hassan Makulu, the LC1 chairperson of Nandala A cell, the body was discovered today by people who were passing near the fish ponds and alerted him.
He says that the body of the deceased was undressed with only a knicker remaining giving them to suspect that unknown group of youths first raped her last night before murdering her.
Yahaya Were, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner of Northern City Division has confirmed the incident saying that the body has been taken to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem.
He warned youths against using drugs which might have influenced them to commit this crime. He also appealed to parents to have control over their children by not allowing them to move at night.
