A pastor has been captured live in Iganga Municipality stealing men’s underwear in a Lock Up located within Iganga Municipality Taxi Park.
Pastor Jackson Batuka of Joy of Life Ministries Church found at Waitambogwe Sub County, Mayuge district had his 40 days end on Tuesday, 18th July, 2023 after his second attempt was thwarted by a CCTV Camera.
According to the owner of the Lock Up, Hilley Paul, the Pastor had earlier successfully stolen underpants from his shop but his images were captured by the CCTV Camera.
Tuesday, was his second time, so immediately he set foot in the shop, the owner made an alarm that attracted both people around and law enforcers who came to his rescue.
“The law enforcers of the park rescued him from the public and asked him to pay a fine claimed by the lock up owner or be taken to police custody for further claims and investigations, an eyewitness told this reporter.
Batuka accepted to pay Shs100,000 fine asked for by Hilley and was left to go.
Pastor Batuka however accepted the accusations and requested for forgiveness from Hilley Paul and the public at large saying that it was his first time to steal and never will he do it again.
