The human resource officer Bugweri, Byokwaso Wiison  has been interdicted after being found guilty of inflating payments of some
civil servants.

Byokwaso is being accused of having inflated monthly payments of a retired headteacher, Kabirizi to the tune of shillings 11 million that was above his entitlement but authorities have not been able to obtainbverification of the same money believed to have been paid through DFCU bank Iganga.

An audit report dated July 6 2023 found the human resource officer of having facilitated payments to 16 employees causing a financial loss of shillings 72,784,212 to government yetbthey are ineligible to receive the payments.

According to the report, the human resource officer also facilitated
processing of loans for some two civil servants who were later deleted from the payroll making it hard for the bank DFCU to recover the money.

“In view of all the above I consider the allegations against you as
amounting to misbehavior and acts of occasioning loss of public funds,“ the CAO’s letter reads in part.

The chief administrative officer Bugweri,bNelson Kirenda said the
accused officer is to stay out of office till full investigations into
the matter are completed.

Kirenda said during the interdiction period, the officer will be entitled to a half monthly salary, staying away from place of work unless duly authorized by the office of the chief administrative officer and not leaving the country unless with express permission of the
chief administrative officer.

He was also instructed him to hand over office and all that goes with it
