Residents of Kajarau South Zone, Kajarau Sub County in Tororo District are still in shock after witnessing a 23 year old man hitting his 20 year old wife with a pit axe killing her instantly.
Michael Ochwo killed his wife, Grace Adikini, this morning 30th August 2023 after what neighbors called an altercation caused by yet to be known reasons.
According to John Apeta, a neighbor and an eyewitness, after Ochwo killed his wife, he got a rope and wanted to hang himself but after seeing people, he ran and jumped in front of a moving Trailer at Mailo Five along the Tororo -Mbale road that crashed him dead.
Johnson Moses Mugwe, the Bukedi South police spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying they have recovered Exhibits at the scene of crime like a pit axe, a slasher and a blood stained nylon rope.
He adds that the bodies of the deceased persons were conveyed to Tororo General Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem.
