The LC1 Chairperson of Kibibo village in Legenya Sub County in Sironko district is on the run for allegedly murdering his brother’s wife.
The LC1 Chairman is identified as Stephen Gutaka aged 51 years and a resident of Kibibo village.
It is alleged that the deceased, Grace Nabuduwa, who is a widow to late Mabinda Vincent has been having running violence cases over land matters with Gutaka Stephen, who is late Mabinda Vincent’s brother.
The matter has taken long without being resolved.
On Wednesday this week, Lawrence Mudoma son to the deceased says his mother got a call from Gutaka unfortunately she never returned only for her body to be discovered the following morning dumped in a nearby bush.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson says that Gutaka is being suspected because a Police sniffer dog which was introduced to the scene took the police officers to the Chairman’s home.
He urged local leaders to be an example to the community saying if arrested Gatuka will be taken to court to answers charges of murder.
