MBALE CITY
A body of a male adult suspected to be 50 years has been found lying lifeless with two cocks tied on it. The body was discovered in the morning of Monday, 4th September, 2023.
The unidentified deceased is suspected to have been found stealing chicken from a different area, lynched and his body carried to Health Center Cell, Busamaga Ward, Industrial City Division in Mbale City on Sunday night, 3rd September, 2023.
Tom Makwasi, one of the area residents says that the suspect was killed from somewhere after getting him stealing chicken because his body had two cocks tied on it.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the body has been taken to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem.
He warned people against taking the law into their hands saying the law will catch up with them if arrested since the investigations are ongoing.
