The Kenyan Opposition Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has made changes to its membership of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
The changes announced today 8th September, 2023 are resolutions of the NEC meeting convened on Thursday, 7th September 2023.
According to a brief statement on Twitter, the changes follow the resignations/defections by the former holders of the positions.
The changes are as follows; Hon. Janet Ong’era who has been CEC Deputy Chairperson has been replaced by H.E Simba Arati, Hon. Florence Mutua formerly Deputy Secretary General has been replaced by Hon. Catherine Omanyo.
Other changes saw Hon. Zulekha Hassan lose position of Deputy Organizing Secretary to Hon. Caleb Amisi meanwhile, Ms Ogla Karani, former Deputy National Treasurer has been replaced by Hon. Fatuma Masito.
The Secretary for Humanitarian and Disaster Management Affairs, Mr. Bob Njagi has also been shown the exit with Sen. Eddie Oketch taking up his position.
Secretary for Security, Hon. Justus Kizito has also been fired with his position being taken up by Hon. Elsie Muhanda.
