A 15 year old girl has been murdered by yet to be identified assailants in broad daylight at Senyi upper zone, Kobba parish Ssi Bukunja Sub County in Buikwe District.
The deceased identified as Sarah Wanyenze was killed in the morning of Tuesday, 26th September, 2023 at a time estimated to be between 8:00am to 10:00am.
According to SP Butoto Hellen, the police spokesperson for Ssezibwe region, Wanyenze left her father’s home yesterday at 8:00am at Kiwungi Village, Kobba Parish Ssi Bukunja Sub County, Buikwe District to Senyi Landing site where she had been trading in fish business.
On her way, she was attacked by unknown thugs who murdered her and dumped her body in the bush of Senyi upper zone.
At about 10:00am, the same day, one Sebaduka Ali and Baluku Moses who were coming from their Garden at Kiwungi found the body hidden in the bush and immediately reported to the LC1 Chairperson who eventually reported to Police.
The Chairperson, Sekitoreko David of Senyi zone B Kobba parish Ssi s/county Buikwe District reported the matter to Police.
The deceased has been identified as Wanyenze Sarah of 15yrs and daughter of Nabugodi William, a resident of Kiwungi village, Kobba parish in Buikwe District.
The body was conveyed to Kawolo Hospital for postmortem as investigations to apprehend the murderers continue.
