NAMISINDWA
The State House Manifesto Implementation monitoring team has expressed its concern over unfinished government projects in Namisindwa district.
The team spent the entire day on Wednesday, 27th September 2023 at Namisindwa district inspecting government projects like Bumbobi- Lwakhakha road, Namboko Seed School, Mukoto Seed School, Sono Health Center III, and Parish Model Program.
David Segendo, from State House who led the team says that the purpose of their visit was to inspect those government projects and report to the President.
He adds that they are shocked to find Bumbobi -Lwakhakha road has not been tarmacked up to Magale and Bumbo yet the report indicates that the tarmac reached those areas yet it has ended at the Lwakhakha border.
Segondo also revealed more findings saying Mukoto seed school is incomplete after the contractor abandoned the site for unknown reasons yet the government released all the money.
Sono Health Center III located at Bukokho sub-county is complete but health workers are too few to handle the number of patients received daily.
Julie Namara, the Namisindwa district deputy resident district commissioner urged the President to advise them on the next course of action after reviewing the report.
She adds that there are some few individuals who intend to tarnish the name of government by swindling government money meant to do certain projects ending up leaving incomplete work.
Jackson Wakwaika, the LC5 chairperson of Namisindwa urged the office of the President to expedite the process of implementing the resolutions on this report such that people behind thesebincomplete projects can be arrested.
He adds that a district having Incomplete projects does not only cost the government but also costs the common person in terms of getting services.
