The Directorship of Citizenship and Immigration Control in the Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced a temporary closure of the Kyambogo Passport Collection office.
The announcement came through in a press statement issued today 30th October, 2023 by the Public Relations Office of the Directorate.
According to the statement, the closure is due to a temporary breakdown caused by a damaged fiber optic cable that has greatly affected their system.
Consequently, Passports cannot be issued at the Kyambogo Passport Issuance office until restoration of normal service.
“Communication will be made in due course upon restoration. All Applicants waiting to pick their passports are advised to wait till restoration,” reads the presser.
