MBALE CITY
Shock was in Mbale city this evening, 1st November, 2023 after men dressed in military uniform raided forex bureau offices and went away with money worth millions of shillings.
According to Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson, these men were driving Haria vehicles and blocked two staff of Mbale forex bureau who were also driving vehicle number UBB 762B outside their office going home in the afternoon.
He adds that after blocking them, they removed them from their vehicle and pushed them into their Haria vehicles and drove them away to an unknown place.
Taitika says that the attackers removed all money the victims had worthy millions and later left without harming them.
He adds that so far they have not arrested any suspect saying police has started investigations to make sure that those suspected can be arrested and arraigned in courts of law.
