UCE UPDATE: S.4 Candidate Beats Up Teacher, Misses History Paper

A S.4 candidate of Kitayundwa Seed Secondary School in Kamuli district missed sitting for his History 241 paper after he beat up a teacher and was delivered to police.

 

The candidate whose names have not been revealed allegedly turned violent on the 24th October, 2023 and beat a teacher. He was then told to report for the East Africa History paper under the escort of police.

 

According to Jennifer Kalule, the UNEB Principal PRO, the candidate was unfortunately delivered after 15 minutes after the commencement of the paper.

 

In a related incident, another candidate in Rukungiri missed a paper on the 25th October after he was cut by a fellow student over a memory card.

 

Ndyamuhaki was cut by Promise Nuwamanya (also a candidate) using a machete necessitating immediate treatment. Unfortunately he was delivered to the examination center after the expiry of the recommended 15 minutes.

 

Meanwhile, Nuwamanya was able to sit for the paper and the case of assault registered at Rukungiri Police Station.
