The Territorial Police in Luwero district are actively investigating a case of alleged defilement that occurred on Saturday, 4th November 2023 at Namaliga East, Bombo Town Council in Luwero district.
The victim is 11years old and a Munyarwanda by tribe.
Sam Twiineamazima, the police spokesperson of Savanna region says that according to preliminary information, the victim left his parents’ home to go and catch grasshoppers from the nearby lights.
He adds that on the waym, he met a certain lady known to him by face who stopped him and told him that she had something to give him to take home and she told him to go with her to her house.
Twiineamazima also says that when they reached the house, the woman closed the door, undressed him and ordered him to sleep on the bed and warned him that if he tries to make an alarm, she will also make an alarm claiming that he is a thief.
He adds that she then forced him into playing sex with her after which she threatened to kill him in case he reveals to anybody. The victim later went back home crying and when his parents asked him, he explained to them how the woman forced him into sex.
Police say the parents hen took him to a nearby health facility where he was put on pep and later reported the matter to police.
When police received information, they responded immediately and visited the scene.
A a case of aggravated defilement was registered and relevant statements from relevant witnesses were recorded, pf3 issued to the victim for examination, a sketch plan drawn and efforts to have the suspect arrested are ongoing.
